| Swale VCS Training offers relevant, local, affordable training to the Sector in Swale. We provide a programme of courses each quarter, based on requests we get from organisations in the Sector. the Programme is advertised in our monthly newsletter, on our dedicated website, circulated by email and advertised on posters. | Courses for Specific Groups: From time to time, organisations approach us to provide training just for them. We will supply an in-house trainer or source an external trainer who can provide bespoke training at a venue of your choice for you staff team. Open Courses for the Voluntary Sector in General: Swale VCS Training run courses such as First Aid, Fire Awareness, Food Safety, Child Protection and many more. Members of Swale CVS are also entitled to preferential booking and reduced rates. The good news is that we have come to an agreement with Case Kent and CaDVAS so that from April 2010 members of any one of the three East Kent CVSs will be eligible for members' rates for training provided by any of the three organisations. Their training programmes will also be circulated via our contact lists. |
We have also formed a partnership with North Kent Training Service and CVS North West Kent to provide joint training across North Kent. Specific criteria apply to people wishing to join these courses - you must work or volunteer in the Voluntary Sector in North Kent. The aim is to build capacity within the organisations of this sector, strengthening the infrastructure and supporting improvements in the provision of services to the local community.
